From the fire a Queen will rise!
Oolong, meaning Dark Dragon, can take many forms. This particular oolong is from Taiwan and is a tie guan yin that has been heavily baked, (much like the dragon eggs on the coals) until it was just what the tea master desired in flavor. If steeped Gong fu cha style, you can steep this tea up to 16 times. Steep in traditional, English style up to 4. It has a roasted, earthy complexity with notes of roasted fig, cocoa and a hint of caramelization. This is an excellent oolong for Fall and Winter months!
